The town of Geeveston is located 25 minutes south of Huonville following the Huon highway (A6)and is the gateway to the Southern Forests.
The timber town is named after the Geeves family and showcases it's pioneering heritage well. You can take a leisurely self guided walk around the town to see the carved wooden statues of local identities and read their stories. Then discover the resident platypus family right in the middle of the town on the Geeveston Circuit Platypus walk! You won't have to wander far to find coffee, fine foods, sweets, crafts and gifts.
The Tasmanian Timber Memorial is located in Heritage Park, right next to the town centre. The park is beautiful with many spots for a picnic or BBQ and perfect for kids to run and explore, toilets and car park are located close-by.
Shipwrights Point Regatta Ground
Shipwrights Point Regatta Ground is an RV friendly location at Port Huon - 5 minutes before Geeveston.
